Role Description This is a full-time on-site Machinist position based in St. Petersburg, FL. The machinist will be responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of manual and CNC machining equipment to provide a variety of components needed to support production as well as design and fabrication of custom fixturing assemblies. Daily tasks include machine set-up and verification, producing and reading technical drawings, programming CNC machines, inspecting finished components for compliance and quality and performing routine machine maintenance. The candidate will collaborate with the production team to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to specification. Qualifications- Minimum of 10 years prior machining experience, manufacturing or production environment is strongly preferred
- Proficiency in programming and operating CNC machinery as well working with manual equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints, and engineering drawings
- Working knowledge of Master CAM
- Experience with measurement instruments tools, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges used in set-up and confirmation of accuracy
- Knowledge of troubleshooting and performance of routine machine maintenance
- Understanding of material properties and machining processes, including milling, turning and grinding
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Well organized with the ability to work independently while following safety guidelines
- High school diploma or equivalent, vocational training or technical certificate in machining is a plus
