Job Description

CNC MachinistWe are hiring all levels - entry up to expert with salaries starting at $22/hr and up to $55/hr for expert levelPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to program, set up, and operate precision CNC equipment, with specific experience on B-axis machines. The role focuses on producing high-quality precision components by applying CNC programming and machining expertise, using MasterCAM for program creation and applying GD&T to ensure parts meet strict tolerances.

Key ResponsibilitiesProgram, set up, and operate CNC machines including B-axis mills and related multi-axis equipment.

Develop and edit CNC programs using MasterCAM; verify toolpaths and optimize cycle times.

Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and GD&T symbols to determine machining requirements and tolerances.

Perform first-article inspections and routine quality checks using precision measuring instruments (CMM, calipers, micrometers, gauges).Troubleshoot machining issues, adjust tooling and feeds/speeds, and implement corrective actions to maintain part quality.

Maintain accurate production documentation, tooling lists, and program revisions; communicate changes to production team.

Work collaboratively with manufacturing engineers to improve processes, reduce scrap, and increase throughput.

Follow safety protocols and maintain clean, organized workstations and machine maintenance logs.

Qualifications3+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience with proven work on B-axis (multi-axis) machines.

Proficient in CNC programming and machining fundamentals; experience creating and editing programs in MasterCAM.Strong understanding and application of GD&T (geometric dimensioning & tolerancing).Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.

Experience with precision measurement tools and quality inspection methods (CMM experience a plus).Solid problem-solving skills with attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality parts.

Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-based manufacturing environment.

Nice to have: experience with GibbsCAM and familiarity with continuous improvement practices (Lean, Kaizen).
