Job Title:
CNC Machinist Job Description We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Machinist to join our team in a dynamic job shop environment. You will be responsible for setting up and programming CNC milling machines to produce precision parts, meeting varied customer requirements. The schedule is Monday-Thursday, 6:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., with overtime available on Fridays. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC mills for short-run and custom machining jobs. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and machining instructions. Select tooling, set offsets, load programs, and verify first-piece accuracy. Inspect parts throughout production using micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Adjust feeds, speeds, and tool paths to maintain quality and efficiency. Perform basic machine maintenance and keep work area clean and organized. Document production data and communicate issues to supervisors or programmers. Support overtime needs on Fridays based on workload. Essential Skills Experience operating CNC milling machines in a job-shop or high-mix environment. Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T. Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other precision tools. Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and materials. Ability to hold tight tolerances and perform in-process inspections. Basic troubleshooting skills for tooling, offsets, and machine performance. Reliable attendance for a fixed weekly schedule with Friday overtime as needed. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with CNC Milling, Fadal (Fanuc controls), Haas, and vertical mills.
