This position is ideal for a hands-on machinist with strong setup and operation experience on a variety of CNC and manual machine tools who thrives in a fast-paced job shop environment.

Candidates with backgrounds primarily focused on aerospace, automotive, medical device, dental, or firearms manufacturing are not the target profile for this opportunity. Experience in industrial manufacturing, job shops, heavy equipment, power generation, or similar industries is strongly preferred.
Shift Differentials :
2nd M-Th 10% 1st F-Su 20% 2nd F-Su 30% Double time Sunday Expect to work 10-20 hrs OT every week 1.5x Relocation Assistance Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, vertical turning lathes, and horizontal machining equipment. Perform machine setups, tooling changes, offset adjustments, and prove-outs for new and repeat jobs. Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, sketches, and technical documentation. Select appropriate tooling, workholding, and machining methods to meet production requirements. Perform light program edits and troubleshoot machining issues as needed. Operate manual machine tools including mills, lathes, drills, grinders, and other shop equipment when required. Verify part quality using precision measuring instruments and maintain required tolerances. Inspect finished components and document measurements in accordance with quality requirements. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production personnel to resolve manufacturing issues. Follow all company safety procedures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of CNC setup and operation experience in a manufacturing or job shop environment. Experience operating both CNC and manual machining equipment. Strong understanding of G-code programming and CNC machining principles. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Experience working with precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gages, dial indicators, thread gages, go/no-go gages, and related inspection tools. Solid machine shop math skills and understanding of machining practices. Ability to troubleshoot machining processes and make offset and tooling adjustments independently. Must supply standard machinist tools or obtain required tools shortly after hire. Clean driving record and ability to travel occasionally if required. Willingness to work overtime and flexible schedules during peak production periods. Preferred Qualifications Experience with a variety of CNC controls and machining platforms. Previous job shop or heavy industrial manufacturing experience. Background in industrial equipment, power generation, or custom fabrication environments. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Experience producing close-tolerance precision components with a focus on quality and repeatability.
