We are currently seeking Large Lathe CNC Machinists to support expanding production needs on second shift. Position Overview As a Large Lathe CNC Machinist , you will set up, operate, and troubleshoot large CNC lathes to machine high‑precision components used in heavy industrial applications. This role requires strong technical expertise, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to producing first‑class quality. All new hires complete a 90‑day training period on first shift (6:00 AM-4:30 PM, Monday-Friday) before transitioning to second shift (4:00 PM-2:30 AM) . This role is available as Direct Hire or Temp‑to‑Hire , depending on candidate preference. Compensation & Shift Structure Training Period

- 41/hour After Training
- Second Shift Base pay increases to $44
- 45/hour 10% shift differential added Stable long‑term second‑shift schedule Key Responsibilities Set up and operate large CNC lathes (110-220‑ton class) with minimal supervision Machine large, complex components to tight tolerances Interpret engineering drawings, planning sheets, and GD&T requirements Select tooling, fixtures, and machining strategies for large forgings and castings Optimize cutting parameters for quality, cycle time, and tool life Perform in‑process and final inspections using precision measuring tools Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues independently Work closely with Engineering and Quality teams to ensure first‑time‑right production Maintain strict adherence to safety, quality, and housekeeping standards Required Qualifications 5-7+ years of CNC machining experience in heavy industrial or large‑component manufacturing Strong background operating large CNC lathes Proven ability to hold tight dimensional and geometric tolerances Advanced blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation Experience machining carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, and large forgings Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently Willingness to transition to second shift after training Why Join Us?
