Full-time Position Summary:
Under moderate supervision, this role is responsible for repairing, overhauling, fabricating, and machining aircraft components and assemblies in accordance with FAA and Repair Station requirements. The position combines hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities, ensuring high-precision aerospace manufacturing standards are met—particularly in landing gear machining, plating, grinding, and finishing. Key Responsibilities Machining & Technical Operations Set up, operate, and troubleshoot conventional (lathes, mills, grinders). Perform precision machining, grinding, and finishing of aircraft components. Fabricate tooling and fixtures to be used during the plating processes. Interpret blueprints, engineering documents, and technical manuals to ensure compliance with tight tolerances. Utilize precision measuring tools and advanced shop equipment. Inspection & Compliance Inspect parts using blueprints and maintenance manuals to ensure conformity. Maintain all required documentation in accordance with FAA Repair Station standards. Ensure all work meets regulatory, engineering, and quality specifications. Process Improvement & Safety Optimize machining and repair processes for efficiency and quality. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Ensure compliance with company policies and environmental health and safety regulations. Basic Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation. Proficiency with precision measuring tools and machining equipment. Basic understanding of shop mathematics. Preferred Qualifications Experience in CNC and conventional machining. Background in aerospace manufacturing or repair environments. Experience working with tight tolerances and high-precision components. Familiarity with FAA regulations and Repair Station requirements. Work Environment High-precision aerospace manufacturing and repair setting. Requires adherence to strict safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
