Aventure Staffing is currently seeking a CNC Machinist III for a growing manufacturing company around the Cherokee, IA area. Key Responsibilities:

Verify cycle times on all jobs and report discrepancies to the Crew Chief while documenting changes on travelers. Verify and set gauges using known standards and ensure gauges meet inspection sheet requirements. Ensure all machine safety devices are in place and functioning properly. Inspect machines and work areas to maintain safe and efficient operation. Operate CNC machinery following established safety and quality standards. Make routine machine offsets and determine when insert changes are needed. Change inserts, tooling, and work-holding fixtures as directed. Assist with machine setups under the direction of the Machinist or Crew Chief.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or apprenticeship preferred. Minimum of 1 year of CNC machining experience or an equivalent combination of education and training. Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and tools. Proficiency in reading blueprints and using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges).

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Standing for extended periods. Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
