Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate, set up, and maintain CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision metal and plastic components. Your expertise in CNC programming, machine setup, and quality measurement will be essential to ensure the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining tools and contribute to innovative manufacturing projects in a relaxed Air conditioned environment. Duties Operate CNC milling machines, lathes, grinders, and other machining tools to produce complex parts according to detailed blueprints and specifications Program CNC machines using G-code, M-code, and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software such as Fanuc controls and other CNC programming platforms Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately, including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications Set up machines by installing tooling, calibrating equipment, and performing machine alignments using precision measurement instruments like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) Conduct precision measurements during manufacturing processes to ensure parts meet quality standards; perform quality inspections utilizing measurement tools such as micrometers and bore gauges Maintain machine tools by performing routine maintenance, tool changes, and troubleshooting issues promptly to minimize downtime Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity while adhering to safety protocols Experience Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines and CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages including G-code and M-code; experience with Fanuc controls is preferred Skilled in reading mechanical blueprints and interpreting complex technical drawings with GD&T annotations Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software like SolidWorks or similar for understanding part designs; experience with CAM programming for toolpath generation is a plus Mechanical aptitude with understanding of machining tools, tooling setup, manual machining techniques, and the use of hand tools and power tools Ability to perform precise measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and coordinate measuring machines for quality control purposes Basic math skills for calculations related to machining dimensions and tolerances; knowledge of measurement systems in imperial or metric units Experience working within lean manufacturing environments; familiarity with plastics injection molding or metal machining processes is advantageous Join our team if you're passionate about precision machining and eager to contribute your expertise in a collaborative environment that values innovation!
