CNC Lathe Machinist Meridian, ID $25
  • $35 an hour

  • Full-time We are seeking a highly motivated Machinist, with 5+ years experience on CNC lathe and mills.
In this role, you will run prototype and one off projects on high speed vertical and horizontal mills. We are utilizing cutting edge technology to create precise components for a wide range of industries including Aerospace and Defense. In this position you will be challenged to be at your best on a daily basis and to grow your skillsets on some of the latest CNC machinery available! We are looking for can do, not afraid to ask questions, humble team minded and positive individuals that want to grow and learn!
In this role you will:
Set up complex jobs on 3, 4 & 5 axis CNC Lathe and possibly mills Adjust for optimum speed and performance Check parts per specifications keeping to tolerances of +.0005 Consult with Engineering and Design on job planning Bring ideas to the table for continual improvements in machining practices The Qualified candidates will: Have a strong and comprehensive understanding of multi (3,4, 5+) axis CNC machining Be familiar with NC programming language, or similar Understand the complexity and challenges that come with a job shop environment Have confidence in your abilities while being willing to learn cutting edge machining processes Be able to utilize integrated probing systems as it applies to checking dimensions and finding offsets Understand high efficiency tool path, shrink fit holders and specific cutters for different processes This position will be integral to our continued growth and direction towards more advanced CNC machinery and applications. You will need to have an open mind and be willing to take on new challenges and prove out new processes in machining for prototyping and research and development.
