Job Description

CNC Machinist at The Machine Shop, LLC in Moscow, Idaho, United States Job Description Responsibilities Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machining equipment such as CNC lathes and milling machines. Develop and modify CNC programs utilizing CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and manual programming techniques to optimize machining processes. Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and specifications to produce accurate components. Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify part dimensions and ensure quality standards are met. Maintain proper tooling, tooling changes, and machine calibration to maximize efficiency and precision during production runs. Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime. Follow lean manufacturing principles to improve workflow efficiency while adhering to safety protocols.
