The following list contains some key responsibilities; additional work may be assigned by your manager. Follows relevant work instructions and company standards. Operates repair/testing equipment. Performs lathe operation (turning, boring, threading). Performs milling operation (e.g. drilling, tapping, boring, etc.). Runs band saws, belt sanders, and grinding equipment Accurately records time on jobs and documents. Completes paperwork accurately and on a timely basis. Observes all safety procedures and uses proper protective gear. Keeps work area neat and clean. Key skills Self-motivated. Ability to foster good employee/employer relations. Intermediate mechanical aptitude and hand-eye coordination. Understands the properties of metals and the different effects tools have on them. Can operate dial indicators, calipers, and micrometers. Ability to lift 50lbs and adequately carry out a range of physical labor. (Preferred) Intermediate welding, brazing, and soldering skills. (Preferred) The ideal candidate will also possess strong interpersonal skills, dedication, will be a team player, and must be able to communicate clearly in English.
