Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Forming Operator, where you'll play a vital role in transforming raw materials into precise metal components through expert operation of forming machinery. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment, ensuring high-quality production standards while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. As a key contributor, you'll be empowered to develop your skills in metal fabrication and precision measurement, supporting our commitment to excellence in manufacturing. Responsibilities Operate various forming machines such as press brakes, stamping presses, and forming machines to shape sheet metal and other materials according to technical specifications. Set up and calibrate machinery, including CNC laser cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and CNC programming tools, ensuring optimal performance for each job. Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately to produce parts that meet quality standards. Use precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensions and ensure adherence to specifications. Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment while adhering to safety protocols and standards in production environments. Collaborate with team members on tooling setup, machine operation, and quality inspection processes to maintain efficient workflow. Document production activities, measurements, and quality checks meticulously for traceability and continuous improvement. Skills Proficiency in operating forming machines including press brakes, stamping presses, CNC laser cutters, plasma cutters, and CNC milling machines. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Experience with CNC programming and setup for machining operations. Skilled in using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision instruments for quality control. Knowledge of safety standards in manufacturing environments and strict adherence to safety protocols during machine operation. Ability to perform shop math calculations necessary for machining and fabrication tasks. Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes including plasma cutting, electrical discharge machining (EDM), and forming techniques. Capable of working with hand tools, tooling setups, cranes, and other fabrication equipment efficiently. Strong mechanical aptitude combined with problem-solving skills to troubleshoot machine issues promptly.
