Job Description
The work is real:
larger parts, tighter tolerances, and more ownership. You're trusted to think, adjust, and solve—not just follow. You get access to more:
more setups, more edits, more exposure to different machines and materials. While the rest of the world winds down, you're dialing in offsets, reading blueprints, and building a skill set that will pay you back for the rest of your career. What You'll Be Working On On this team, CNC Machinists don't just "babysit" machines. You will:
Run CNC turning and/or milling centers (vertical and horizontal) with confidence.Work from real-world prints:
interpreting dimensions, tolerances, and geometric callouts.Handle a variety of parts:
different sizes, weights, and materials (including metals and castings). Use cranes and slings to safely move heavier parts when required. Set and adjust tool offsets, understand what the numbers mean, and why your choices matter. Work with Fanuc controls, G codes, and M codes—making edits and changes as needed. Help with CNC programming tweaks so the next part runs better than the last.Catch problems early:
a sound, a finish, a dimension that doesn't look right—and fix it before it becomes scrap. Communicate with your team so the next shift isn't guessing what happened on yours. The Skill Stack You'll Build Here Over the next 3-5 years, this role can help you stack real, marketable skills:CNC Machining:
turning, milling, or both. Fanuc controls, G & M codes, and practical programming edits. Reading and truly understanding blueprints and geometric tolerancing. Tool selection and offsets—how they affect size, finish, and cycle time. Handling bigger, more complex parts safely and efficiently. Problem solving under pressure—and doing it without drama.Time management:
keeping work flowing on a busy second shift. Professional communication and teamwork on a high-expectation floor. If you lean in, this is the kind of role that can set you up for higher-level machinist work, advanced programming, or lead roles down the road. What You Need to Bring You're currently working or recently employed, and you can clearly explain why you're ready for a change. You can commit to one of these schedules, Monday-Friday, plus overtime when needed: 6:00 am - 4:30 pm 4:20 pm - 2:50 am (second shift) You have real CNC experience—ideally 3-5 years on the floor. You've spent time in turning and/or milling environments, with vertical or horizontal machines. You've handled parts with different sizes, weights, and materials (metals, castings, etc.). You're familiar with tolerances, geometric dimensioning, and how they show up on a print. You have experience with Fanuc controls, G and M codes, tool offsets, and at least some CNC program edits. You bring a strong work ethic, show up on time, and take pride in doing things right—not just fast. Who Thrives Here This role fits you if: You're serious about turning your 3-5 years of experience into something bigger. You like second shift because it gives you more ownership, more responsibility, and fewer distractions. You get a quiet satisfaction from seeing a tough job run clean because you set it up right. You notice things:
a sound, a chip, a number on the screen—and you act before it becomes a problem. You want to be part of a team where effort, attitude, and curiosity actually matter. Ready to Level Up? If you're a CNC Machinist who wants more access, more learning, and more responsibility—and you're willing to work second shift to get it—this is your chance.Apply with:
Your current employment status and why you're open to a move. Which shift you can commit to (day or second shift). A short list of machines/controls you've worked on and whether your experience is more turning, milling, or both. This is the kind of second-shift role that can quietly build the career other machinists wish they had five years from now. Are you ready to make your next shift your smartest move?
