Role:
We are seeking an experienced CNC professional to support machining operations through fixture setup, tooling support, machine changeovers, and CNC equipment maintenance. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, troubleshooting machining processes, and ensuring CNC equipment is properly set up and operating efficiently. The role will support a variety of CNC mills, lathes, Bridgeports, and related machining equipment while working closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to improve tooling and fixturing processes.
Responsibilities:
Set up, tear down, and support CNC machining centers for production and engineering activities Build, repair, modify, and maintain CNC fixtures, tooling, and work holding equipment Troubleshoot fixture and machining issues to minimize downtime and improve performance Perform machine changeovers and setup verification Support CNC mills, lathes, Bridgeport machines, and other machining equipment Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve machining processes and fixture designs Assist with machine maintenance and equipment upkeep Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment
Qualifications:
Required:
Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience Strong experience setting up and breaking down CNC machines Experience building, repairing, and troubleshooting fixtures and tooling Hands-on experience with CNC mills, lathes, Bridgeports, and similar machining equipment Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Preferred:
Experience with ProTrak, SurfCAM, or similar CNC programming software CAD experience for fixture, tooling, or workholding design Experience supporting prototype, custom, or low-volume manufacturing environments Technical school, apprenticeship, or machining certification Why Consider This Opportunity?
