3rd shift CNC Machinist

ClearStaff in Villa Park are in search of candidates with a background in CNC machinery for our client located in the Glendale Heights Area. Job Summary The CNC Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC horizontal milling machines. This role includes making basic program edits, troubleshooting alarms, preparing tooling and fixturing, and ensuring parts meet quality and customer specifications.

Schedule:

3rd Shift | Monday-Friday | 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM Payrate starting at $23.00/hr Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC horizontal milling machines Modify CNC programs as needed (G-code edits) Install tooling, tool registers, offsets, and compensation Troubleshoot CNC alarms and resolve machining issues Follow customer-specific work instructions and quality requirements Use fixed and variable measuring instruments to inspect parts Provide first-article parts to Quality Control within specified tolerances Package and label products per instructions Perform routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance Confirm production work orders in the SAP system Replace worn tooling as needed Assist other operators to ensure compliance with specifications Perform 5S duties and maintain a safe, organized work area Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor Requirements Experience operating 4-axis CNC machines Experience with FANUC controls Ability to independently set up machines with minimal supervision Basic programming and editing skills Strong understanding of tool offsets, work shifts, and safety procedures Ability to read and interpret blueprints, BOMs, and quality plans Experience machining aluminum and ductile iron Proficient using inspection tools and SPC inspection programs Ability to troubleshoot machining issues, respond to alarms, and correct programs Knowledge of quality policies and objectives related to the position Must be able to work 8-12 hours per day Must be able to stand for duration of shift Must be able to pass 7 year background screening Must be able to pass Drug Test Must be able to pass E-Verify Join our client's team and get rewarded for your commitment: Work 90 days on assignment Get hired full-time by our client Stay another 90 days after conversion You'll earn a $1,500 bonus!
