TekPro is partnered with a leading manufacturer of power transmission components for the aerospace and defense industries in their search for CNC Lathe Machinists! (3 openings) Strong machine setup, program editing, and experience with several brands of machines is highly preferred for this position. This is a modern, 150,000 sq. foot air-conditioned facility with modern equipment, above market hourly pay, strong 10% shift differential, and consistently 10+ hours per week OT availabile.
Position Summary:
Responsibilities:
Plans machines by studying work order, blueprints, engineering plan, quality plan, materials, specifications, OP. drawings, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters, interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T). Sets-up lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments. Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position. Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces in accordance to supplied OP. drawing and quality plan. Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes. Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs. Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Documents actions by completing production and quality logs. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications. Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Experience and Education Minimum of 2 years of experience operating CNC lathes and mills required. Ability to read technical mechanical drawings along with a good understanding of GD&T. Basic mathematical skills. Experience operating DMG/Mori Seiki

turn/mill would be a big plus. Experience with gear manufacturing would be a big plus Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident. due to ITAR regulations for defense work
