Your responsibilities Documents result as appropriate on checklists, inspection reports and/or shop travelers. May instruct, train and assists team members assigned to operate CNC machine tools and check the work produced. Uses advanced shop mathematics and a variety of measuring tools and gages which require interpretation in various applications. Requires judgment within limitations of general methods and standards. Performs proper and safe material handling, by adhering to the weight limit policy, utilizing overhead cranes or lifting devices. Maintains a high degree of quality and safety and keeps work area clean. Who we are looking for High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Experience in CNC Setup and Operations Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player Required the use of general mathematics. Requires the use of complicated drawings, specifications, charts, tables, and handbook formulas. Ideally, you will also have Knowledge of working with engineering drawings, sketches, set up sheets, program printouts, specifications and instruction manuals. Determines which procedures or methods to follow; selects work holding, boring jaws if necessary, tooling, speeds, feed rates and settings for new and unusual work and for standardized work when not prescribed and writes programs when required.
