Position Summary:
You'll be responsible for operating manual lathes, vertical and horizontal milling machines, grinders, and other Machine Shop related equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
Ability to read drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to determine machining operations, dimensions, and tolerances. Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters based on job requirements and material properties. Measure, inspect, and verify workpieces using precision measuring instruments. Adjust machine settings, tooling, and workpiece positioning to maintain quality and productivity. Troubleshoot machining issues, identify defects' root causes, and implement corrective actions to resolve problems.
Required Skills:
Proficient in setting up and operating manual lathes, milling machines, and other machining equipment. Detail-oriented with a focus on producing high-quality workmanship. Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving. Ability to work overtime as needed.
Experience Required:
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a manual machinist in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
Work Environment:
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment. Ability to lift and move material or parts that weigh up to 50 pounds.
