CNC Machinist

CNC Machinist - $25-$35/hour Aerotek is hiring a CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC mills and lathes in a manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in CNC machining, blueprint reading, and precision measurement tools.

Job Description:

Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes Program and adjust CNC machines as needed Change tooling, clamps, and vices for different jobs Perform offsets and properly zero machines Read and interpret blueprints and machining specifications Conduct first-piece and in-process quality inspections Measure parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges Produce precision components to tight tolerances

Responsibilities:

Set up new and existing jobs for machining Install and adjust tooling for production runs Perform quality checks using correct gauging instruments Ensure parts meet blueprint and specification requirements Maintain consistent production while prioritizing accuracy Obtain required tooling and materials for each job Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area

Requirements:

2+ years of experience in CNC machining, setup, or operation Experience operating CNC mills and/or lathes Ability to read and interpret blueprints Proficient with measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges Strong understanding of machining processes and tolerances Attention to detail and commitment to quality Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roselle, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
