Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CNC Lathe Machinist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will operate CNC lathes to produce high-precision components, ensuring adherence to strict specifications and quality standards. Your expertise will contribute directly to our manufacturing excellence and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Set up, program, and operate CNC lathe machines using Fanuc controls to produce complex parts with precision. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure accurate machining. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify part dimensions. Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime. Select appropriate tooling and fixtures, including hand tools and specialized tooling for specific machining tasks. Apply lean manufacturing principles to optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve efficiency. Collaborate with engineers on CNC programming, CAM programming, and design modifications using SolidWorks and CAD software. Experience Proven experience operating CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment with a strong understanding of CNC programming and machine setup. Knowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes is a plus. Familiarity with CNC milling machines, including those controlled by Fanuc systems. Mechanical knowledge related to plastics injection molding, welding, assembly, and the use of power tools. Ability to read complex blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and troubleshooting machining issues. Experience working with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Strong understanding of safety protocols related to machining operations including forklift operation when necessary.
