Seeking a Highly Skilled Senior Prototype CNC Machinist

  • New equipment, expanding shop, strong pipeline of work Rapid Prototyping and Engineering is growing and currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machinist to join our team in Franklin, IN.

At Rapid Prototyping and Engineering, we specialize in high-precision machining. Our operations are expanding with new state-of-the-art equipment, increased shop space, and a strong pipeline of incoming work. Responsibilities:
Use CAM software to program, set up, and run low-volume, tight-tolerance prototype parts. Perform quality checks using precision measurement tools during the machining process. Conduct routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance. Maintain detailed records of machining operations and outcomes.
Preferred Qualification:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; technical certification is a plus. Experience in complex CNC lathe machining. Programming with GibbsCAM or comparable software. Multi-axis workcenter experience Strong mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and other machining equipment effectively.
  • Candidates must also achieve a sufficient score on an in-house technical evaluation as part of the hiring process.
