Job Summary To Apply for this Job Click Here Fort Wayne, IN | $28-$35/hour | 3:00 PM-11:30 PM A precision manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Manual & Conversational Lathe Machinist to produce complex, tight-tolerance components in a low-volume machining environment. This is a hands-on role for a machinist who is comfortable setting up and running manual/conversational equipment, reading prints, and making adjustments independently. The primary machine is an older Chevalier lathe with an Anilam conversational controller . There may also be opportunities to expand into additional CNC lathe work using Mastercam.
Manual & Conversational Lathe Machinist Benefits & Compensation:
$28-$35/hour, based on experience

Mastercam Manual & Conversational Lathe Machinist Requirements & Qualifications:
Experience setting up and operating manual or conversational lathes Ability to read and interpret blueprints and machining specifications Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, speeds, and feeds Ability to use precision measuring equipment to verify finished parts Comfortable working independently through setup, machining, inspection, and adjustments
Must Haves:
Hands-on lathe setup and machining experience Experience with conversational controls or comparable machine-side programming Ability to machine precision components to tight tolerances Ability to troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary offsets or adjustments Willingness to work the 3:00 PM-11:30 PM shift
Manual & Conversational Lathe Machinist Preferred Background & Skills:
Experience with Anilam conversational controls Chevalier lathe experience CNC lathe experience Mastercam experience Background in tool & die, mold, custom machining, or other low-volume precision manufacturing environments
