Job Description

Job purpose : To assemble machinery in accordance with detailed drawings and parts lists. Some electrical and fabrication work required, including: layout, drilling, tapping, deburring, and use of shop equipment also required.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
  • Strong understanding and experience in mechanical assembly
  • Must be able to stand, stoop, and bend for long periods of time during each shift
  • Must be able to perform various machine set-ups or adjustments and may operate production machines in the course of working on production process. Will participate in routine testing or inspection activities as part of an assembly or production process
  • Proficiently operate cutting saw, drill press, brake press, shear, and other metal fabrication tools
  • Read and understand engineering blueprints, this skill includes the ability to interpret print specifications such as material, dimensions, tolerances, notes and part views
  • Must be able to plumb and wire machines by reading basic wiring and pneumatic schematics
  • Maintain the cleanliness of one's work area and the overall shop
  • Ability to work collaboratively across the organization with employees at all levels
  • Ability to check their own work, meets deadlines, and document progress
  • Maintains work orders with minimal computer use near the assembly area
  • Ability to keep up with scheduled work orders for stock builds and customer machine builds
  • Exercise judgment and experience to plan and accomplish goals
  • Able to move from project to project with minimal supervision
  • Motivated individual who enjoys fast paced and dynamic work setting
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively solve problems in real-time
  • Highly effective communicator
  • Goal driven, organized, and detail-oriented Works safely, attends safety meetings, and fork lift training as required
  • Must be flexible, dependable, time conscious, and on time for reporting for the work shift
  • Must supply own tools
  • Must be able to lift 50 LBS
  • Must be able to pass drug test and national criminal background check
  • Equipment trouble shooting experience a plus
NOTE:
Pay Scale Commensurate With Experience Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
