In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, repairing, and maintaining precision metal components using manual machining techniques. Your expertise will ensure that parts meet strict specifications and quality standards, supporting our commitment to excellence in manufacturing. Duties Operate manual machining equipment such as lathes, grinders, and milling machines to produce high-precision metal parts Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD/CAM files to determine machining requirements Set up and calibrate machines accurately using measurement tools like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and dial indicators Perform precision measurements during machining processes to ensure parts meet GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications Utilize hand tools and power tools for tooling adjustments, part assembly, and finishing operations Conduct quality inspections using measurement instruments to verify dimensions and surface finishes align with specifications Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols at all times Experience Proven experience in manual machining operations on lathes, mills, grinders, or similar equipment Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and mechanical blueprint interpretation Familiarity with CNC programming concepts such as M-code, G-code, CNC G-code programming, and CNC quality inspection is a plus but not mandatory Experience with machining tools including tooling setup, calibration, and maintenance Ability to perform precision measurement using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other measuring instruments Basic understanding of mechanical systems and manufacturing processes including lean manufacturing principles Knowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM), CNC milling machines, CNC lathe operations, and CNC programming is advantageous but not required Join us if you are passionate about precision metalworking and eager to contribute your skills in a collaborative environment that values craftsmanship and continuous improvement.
