You power up your station in a climate-controlled shop, review a blueprint, set up the mill, verify measurements, and start cutting precision parts that will be used to train the next generation of technicians around the world. That's a typical morning as a Precision Manual Machinist at Amatrol—where craftsmanship fuels education. Why This Role Matters Amatrol builds industry-leading technical training systems. The components you machine become part of hands-on learning equipment used by manufacturers, colleges, universities, high schools, and training organizations globally. What You'll Do Set up and operate manual machining equipment to produce precision parts Perform milling, turning, drilling, tapping, deburring, and bench operations Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications Monitor quality during production; troubleshoot and adjust as needed Keep your area clean, organized, and safe Perform routine maintenance on machines and tooling Your Background At least 1 year of machining experience Hands-on experience with milling, turning, drilling, tapping, deburring, and bench work Comfortable reading technical prints Detail-focused with solid problem-solving and organizational skills Dependable attendance and ability to start at 6:00 a.m. Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs. regularly and 50 lbs. occasionally High school diploma or equivalent Bonus Points CNC programming experience (required for higher-level machinist roles) Advanced setup and machining expertise Schedule 44-hour work week
Monday-Thursday:
5:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
Friday:
