This role involves operating and programming advanced CNC machinery, interpreting complex blueprints, and ensuring precision in the production of high-quality components. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with CAD/CAM software, and experience with various machining techniques, including electrical discharge machining and plastics injection molding. As a key contributor to our manufacturing process, you will uphold safety standards, optimize tooling and setup procedures, and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality. •Please note, this role will require secondary interview•

Duties Operate CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and other precision machining equipment such as Fanuc-controlled systems to produce complex parts according to detailed specifications. Develop and modify CNC programs using CAM programming software, ensuring optimal tool paths for efficient manufacturing. Read and interpret engineering blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical drawings to accurately produce parts within specified tolerances. Utilize precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify dimensions and ensure quality standards. Set up tooling, fixtures, and work-holding devices efficiently while adhering to safety protocols; perform routine maintenance on machinery. Conduct electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes for intricate or hard-to-machine components. Assist in assembly processes when required, using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other fabrication tools. Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying waste reduction opportunities and streamlining workflows. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, machine settings, and inspection results for traceability. Operate forklifts safely to transport raw materials or finished products within the facility. Experience Proven experience as a Machinist or similar role with at least two years working in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in CNC programming languages such as G-code; experience with Fanuc controls preferred. Strong understanding of GD&T principles and blueprint reading techniques. Knowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM), plastics injection molding processes, and CAD/CAM software like SolidWorks and general CAD systems. Mechanical aptitude with familiarity using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other precision measurement tools. Experience working with CNC milling machines and CNC lathes in a high-volume or precision manufacturing setting. Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately while applying basic math skills for measurements and calculations. Familiarity with tooling selection, setup procedures, welding techniques, power tools operation, and safety protocols including forklift operation.
