The Deburrer will be responsible for finishing metal parts by removing sharp edges, burrs, or excess material left over from the machining process. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to ensure that all finished parts meet our rigorous quality standards. This is a full-time, benefits eligible position working a 12-hour shift 3 to 4 days a week. This position is eligible for a $3/hour shift differential.
Essential functions of the job:
Inspect machined parts to identify areas requiring deburring, grinding, or polishing. Use hand tools such as files, sanders, grinders, and deburring knives to remove burrs, sharp edges, and excess material. Follow work instructions, blueprints, and quality control procedures to achieve precise deburring results. Perform visual inspections and use measuring tools to verify part dimensions and surface finishes. Assist in the transfer of cut parts using powered equipment including a standard or walk-behind forklift. Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure efficiency and safety. Collaborate with machinists and other team members to optimize production processes and achieve production targets. Required Qualifications Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Capable of lifting up to 75lbs Ability to pass pre-employment background check, drug screen, physical capacity test and breath alcohol test.
Preferred qualifications:
Previous forklift experience Prior experience as a Deburrer or in a similar role in a manufacturing environment Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Physical stamina and manual dexterity to handle repetitive tasks and operate hand tools effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
