Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Machinist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various machining equipment to produce precision metal components. Your expertise in CNC machining, manual machining, and blueprint interpretation will ensure that all parts meet strict quality standards and specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining tools and contribute to innovative manufacturing projects in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements. Set up and operate CNC machines such as lathes, mills, and CNC milling machines using Fanuc or similar controls. Program CNC machines with G-code and M-code instructions to produce precise components efficiently. Perform manual machining operations using hand tools, grinders, calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measurement instruments. Conduct quality inspections of machined parts utilizing coordinate measuring machines (CMM), measurement tools, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards. Adjust machine setups and tooling as needed to optimize performance and ensure adherence to specifications. Maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols and lean manufacturing principles. Requirements Proven experience as a Machinist with proficiency in CNC programming (including G-code), manual machining, and machine setup. Strong knowledge of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as SolidWorks and general blueprint reading skills. Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM), CAM programming, and the use of machining tools like grinders, lathes, mills, and power tools. Mechanical knowledge including interpretation of mechanical blueprints and understanding of measurement techniques for quality control. Ability to operate precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines accurately. Basic math skills for calculations related to measurements, tolerances, and machine adjustments. Experience working with CNC controls like Fanuc or similar systems; knowledge of CNC G-code programming is essential. Strong attention to detail with the ability to troubleshoot machine issues quickly while maintaining safety standards. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
