Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Load stock into CNC machine work holding devices and monitors the machining process.
- Performs visual and physical inspection of parts produced per Laitram Machine Shop Quality Management System.
- Performs accurate transactions (clock on, clock off, entering quantities, closing out operation when done, filling in appropriate paperwork).
- Cleans equipment used and keeps work area clean/organized.
- Makes adjustments at the machine control to maintain or improve part quality.
- Performs standard Machine job change over procedures.
- Conducts training as needed to assist in developing the skills of others.
Requirements:
- Has a high school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years previous Machining experience.
- Experience using inspection tooling (i.e., micrometers, calipers, gages) to accurately measure part features.
- Blueprint reading skills.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, working with fractions).
- Possess strong verbal and written communications skills.
