Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a CNC Lathe Machinist and become a vital contributor to precision machining operations. In this role, you will operate, set up, and program CNC lathes to produce high-quality components with accuracy and efficiency. Your expertise will help us deliver exceptional products by leveraging advanced machining techniques, technical skills, and a keen eye for detail. Duties Operate CNC lathe machines, including Fanuc controls, ensuring precise machining of metal and plastic parts according to detailed blueprints and specifications Set up machines by installing tooling, calibrating equipment, and verifying machine parameters for optimal performance Program CNC lathes using CAD/CAM software, translating technical drawings into efficient machining instructions while adhering to GD&T standards for geometric tolerances Conduct routine inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify dimensions and quality standards Perform maintenance on CNC equipment, including basic troubleshooting, tool changes, and cleaning to maintain peak operational efficiency Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing instructions to ensure parts meet design specifications Utilize hand tools and power tools for assembly or minor adjustments when necessary while maintaining a safe workspace Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying opportunities for process improvements and waste reduction Experience Proven experience operating CNC lathes or CNC milling machines in a manufacturing environment with a focus on precision machining Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code; familiarity with Fanuc controls is preferred Skilled in blueprint reading, GD&T interpretation, and mechanical measurement techniques using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines Basic understanding of electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes is a plus Familiarity with SolidWorks or CAD software for part design review or tooling development is advantageous Knowledge of tooling selection, setup procedures, and maintenance for CNC machinery This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills in advanced manufacturing processes.
