2015 certified precision machine shop serving the medical, vacuum, and industrial markets. We are seeking a dependable machinist who takes pride in producing high-quality work and can independently set up and run CNC milling machines. Responsibilities Set up and operate 30-taper CNC vertical machining centers from start to finish. Load and touch off tooling. Set work offsets and establish part zero. Prove out and run production jobs. Make tool wear and geometry offsets as needed. Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues. Read and interpret engineering drawings. Inspect your own work using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, pin gauges, and other precision measuring equipment. Perform precision deburring and finishing operations. Inspect parts under a microscope when required. Work closely with our CAD/CAM programmer to improve programs, tooling, and cycle times. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Our Work We manufacture close-tolerance precision machined components for the medical, vacuum, microwave ,electronics, optical and industrial markets. Our work includes production machining of precision components in aluminum, stainless steel, engineered plastics, and other machinable alloys. Quality, consistency, and attention to detail are essential. Many parts require minor precision deburring, microscope inspection, and thorough in-process and final inspection to ensure they meet customer specifications. Qualifications Several years of CNC milling setup experience. Ability to independently set up and run jobs. Strong blueprint reading skills. Ability to hold close tolerances. Strong inspection skills. Good troubleshooting and problem-solving ability. Dependable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Preferred Experience Experience with any of the following is a plus: Brother CNC machining centers Renishaw probing systems Mastercam Process improvement and production optimization Automation or robotic machine tending No robotic experience? No problem. We will train the right candidate to set up and operate collaborative robot (cobot) systems to support production.
