Job details Summary Spherion $25.00 - $26.00 per hour Temp to Perm 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM Industry manufacturing & production (Production Occupations) Reference number S_175886 Job details Spherion MA is seeking a Production Machinist responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machining equipment to produce precision parts used in manufacturing operations. Responsibilities:
Set up and operate CNC and/or conventional machining equipment (mills, lathes, grinders, or similar machines) Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical instructions Select proper tools, materials, machine speeds, and feeds for each job Perform precision machining to produce parts within tight tolerances Inspect finished parts using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and indicators Make minor machine adjustments to ensure product quality and consistency Monitor machine performance and report any malfunctions or production issues Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area Support production goals by meeting quality, safety, and output targets Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and quality control staff as needed Working hours: 2:30 PM - 11:00
PM Skills:
Previous experience as a machinist, CNC operator, or production operator in a manufacturing environment Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Experience using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) Basic knowledge of CNC machining and machine setup Good attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards Ability to work independently on 2nd shift with minimal supervision Good communication and teamwork skills
Education:
High School Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
