Troy Industrial Solutions is looking for a motivated, career-minded individual with proven experience to be its next Manual/Conventional Machinist . The individual in this position will be responsible for fabricating and/or repairing large and small components as needed by our manufacturing facility. This is a job-shop environment with a fluid schedule.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate manual mills, small and large lathes (60" swing up to 27' long), VTL, horizontal boring mill, Bridgeport, and more. Proficiency in the use of manual equipment, reading micrometers, and utilizing digital readouts is a must. Reverse engineer old or obsolete parts and recreate to proper specifications and materials. Interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, and the occasional "back of a napkin" design. Review job orders that require machine work and provide estimates on time required for repair or fabrication. Work alongside/support CNC machining with the opportunity to learn/operate a CNC lathe if desired. Basic equipment maintenance and work area cleanliness.
