Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Receive instructions verbally and in writing from supervision; to include job orders, prints, sketches and manufacturing instructions. Set up and operate various CNC machine tools according to above instructions and using acquired skills in machining technology. Load or unload machine by hand, by operating traveling crane or hoist, or by hooking for slinging the piece. Set up jigs and holding fixtures. Check work for proper dimensions and tolerances by using gauges, calipers, etc., and document on machine data sheet. Perform regular operator maintenance on machine tools and other equipment, including wiping, oiling, cleaning and minor adjustment. Keep immediate work area clean and orderly. Obey all safety rules and regulations. Perform required paperwork and record keeping. Performs other duties as may be assigned by management. Tools and Equipment Vertical and horizontal machines, lathes, , measuring instruments, personal hand tools, etc.
