JOB DESCRIPTION
Seeking skilled CNC machinists with at least 1-year preferred experience to join our Midstate team. Our machinists are responsible for operating CNC machines to produce high-precision parts that meet strict quality standards.
Responsibilities include:
Reviews job package in its entirety•routings, blueprints, specifications, and other documentation necessary to fully understand the process plan, part configuration (dimensions/tolerances), materials, tooling, and other equipment used. Builds setup according to documented plan, utilizing knowledge of proper setup procedures, machining practices, material properties, and tooling. Operates production equipment according to machining practices and safe operation techniques to produce components and/or services that meet customer needs. Initiates changes to setup and/or operation to optimize production efficiency. Verifies conformance of work piece to specifications using appropriate measuring instruments. Evaluates deviations identified in the machining process to determine the cause and initiates corrective action if appropriate. Reports all deviations identified via Process Discrepancy Report (PDR). Trains less experienced machinists in advanced machining techniques to aid in developing a higher level of technical competence in the machinist labor force. Maintains a professional & personable relationship with superiors, peers and subordinates, being responsive to their needs as well as those of the company.
Requirements:
Mechanical aptitude and knowledge with problem-solving skills is essential. Proven experience as a CNC machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment. Experience operating lathes, mills and/or grinders. Understanding of GD&T principles and blueprint reading. Familiarity with Fanuc controls but not required•will train. Ability to operate precision measuring equipment and various power tools effectively. Must meet ITAR definition of US Person(s) . Midstate Machine is an Equal Opportunity Employer! Pay:
Up to $37.00 per hour
