Job Title:
Experienced Mill Machinist Job Description We are seeking an experienced Mill Machinist to join our machine shop. This role is pivotal in setting up and operating manual and/or CNC milling machines to produce precision components that meet both customer and internal quality standards. The ideal candidate should possess strong blueprint reading skills, have a deep understanding of tight tolerances, and take pride in producing high-quality machined parts within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Set up and operate manual and/or CNC milling machines, including vertical and horizontal mills. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions accurately. Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials for each job. Perform tool offsets, adjustments, and minor program edits if working with CNC machines. Measure and inspect parts using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, and bore gauges. Maintain tight tolerances and ensure that all parts meet quality specifications. Perform basic machine maintenance and keep the work area clean and organized. Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality. Collaborate closely with engineering, quality, and production teams as required. Follow all safety policies and procedures diligently. Essential Skills At least 3 years of experience as a mill machinist. Proficiency in operation, set-ups, changeovers, and some programming. Strong skills in reading and interpreting blueprints. Ability to maintain tight tolerances. Experience with precision measuring tools. Why Work Here? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $62400.00/yr. 401(k) matching, health, dental, and vision insurance, and paid time off (PTO).
