In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC lathes to produce precision-machined components that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise will help ensure efficient production processes, high-quality output, and continuous improvement within our manufacturing facility. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about machining technology and dedicated to manufacturing excellence. Responsibilities Set up CNC lathe machines, including loading tooling, fixtures, and materials according to detailed blueprints and specifications. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and CAD files to ensure accurate machining processes. Conduct quality control checks using calipers, micrometers, precision measuring instruments, and other tools to verify dimensions and tolerances. Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot issues related to tooling, programming, or machine operation. Follow safety protocols related to materials handling, welding, fabrication, and the use of hand tools in a manufacturing environment. Collaborate with team members on assembly line tasks and materials packaging to meet production deadlines efficiently. Skills Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T principles, and mechanical drawings for precise machining. Knowledge of CNC lathe operations. Familiarity with CAD software for part design and tooling development. Ability to operate precision measuring instruments including calipers and micrometers accurately. Mechanical knowledge of manufacturing processes including fabrication, tooling setup, welding, and materials handling. Experience working in a factory or manufacturing facility with hands-on use of hand tools and factory safety standards. Basic math skills necessary for calculating dimensions, feeds, speeds, and tolerances; understanding programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus. Ability to work effectively while maintaining high standards of quality control.
