Job Description

Prestige Extreme Machining and Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Manual Bridgeport Machinist to join our growing machining team. We are looking for a skilled machinist with hands-on Bridgeport experience who takes pride in precision machining and producing high-quality components. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced machinist who is comfortable working independently, understands precision machining practices, and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship.
Responsibilities:
Operate manual Bridgeport machine to machine precision components according to customer and engineering specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions. Perform machining operations while maintaining close tolerances and established quality standards. Select and use appropriate cutting tools, work-holding methods, and machining techniques. Verify dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet customer and engineering specifications. Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot machining issues as needed. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Work collaboratively with supervisors and other machinists to meet production schedules and customer requirements. Follow company safety procedures, quality standards, and established machining practices.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of machining experience Demonstrated hands-on experience operating a manual Bridgeport machine. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications. Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling, feeds, speeds, and precision tolerances. Experience using precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to troubleshoot machining issues and make appropriate adjustments. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Dependable, safety-conscious, and committed to meeting production requirements.
