1-year contract (possible extensions) Must Haves 10+ years of experience in metal cutting systems including tooling, CNC machining, washing, and gauging. Ability to develop and organize training materials to achieve desired learning results. Ability to connect with and teach students with varying backgrounds and experience levels. Ability to work independently and within a team to accomplish specified goals. Day to
Day:
We are seeking a hands-on Technical Trainer to design and deliver training for UAW-represented employees working in an automated machining environment. Technology on the shop floor has advanced rapidly, and equipment/process complexity now requires a dedicated trainer to accelerate skill development and standardize foundational machining knowledge across the workforce. This is a 1-year contract role located in Flint, MI, with potential extensions and 1 opening.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop a training curriculum and learning materials to train UAW-represented employees in an automated machining environment. Create and refine training content focused on (including, but not limited to): General dimensioning & tolerancing CNC fundamentals Gauging practices Build classroom training and on-the-job training (OJT) materials; baseline content may be available for review and reuse in some areas. Deliver training across all 3 production shifts, partnering with operations to plan sessions that meet production needs. Develop and organize training materials to achieve clear learning results (e.g., structured modules, job aids, practical exercises, and knowledge checks).
Pay:
$45.00 - $50.00 per hour
