ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES
Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair a variety of machine tools and equipment including complicated electronic/electrical systems and data handling equipment. Work with leadership to schedule and layout work, as necessary. Troubleshoot and repair/replace worn or damaged parts associated with CNC/EDM machinery, pumps, circuit boards, and water filtration systems. Able to perform difficult work in maintaining plant properties such as buildings, machinery and equipment, etc., where moderate skill in more than one trade is required. May supervise and/or train one or more team members, as necessary. Work with contractors and suppliers in the planning and installation of repairs, installation and/or rearrangement of machinery or equipment as well as machine tool builders for repair/maintenance work on equipment and facilities.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
Journeyman Certificate or equivalent experience. Experience troubleshooting various types of equipment. Experience in electrical repair. Familiar with schematics, ladder logic, and blueprint reading. Ability to work with minimal supervision, highly motivated. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Will be required to become
NFPA 70B
certified in Electrical Awareness training. Must be able to obtain a forklift and aerial lift license. Must be able to complete first aid/CPR training to be qualified as a first responder. Must be able to safely operate a multimeter, basic hand tools and other testing equipment.
DESIRED CHARECTERISTICS
Basic computer navigation skills. This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Therefore, employment will be contingent upon the ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e., a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).
