Job Description

CNC Machinist - Rochester Hills, MI Minimum 3 years of experience as a CNC Machinist Venteon is currently seeking a CNC Machinist to fill an opening for a stable non-automotive manufacturing client in Rochester Hills. Requirements of the CNC Machinist Strong understanding of machining fundamentals Ability to read blueprints and GD&T Experience with precision measurement tools Knowledge of feeds, speeds, materials, and tooling Basic G code understanding Mechanical problem solving ability Experience with 4 axis or 5 axis machining CAM software familiarity (Mastercam, Fusion 360, GibbsCAM, etc.) Experience with exotic materials (Inconel, titanium, hardened steels) Ability to design or modify fixtures Experience in aerospace, medical, or automotive machining Benefits of the CNC Machinist Competitive hourly pay Advancement potential Full time Paid time off Medical / Dental / Vision 401k Responsibilities of the CNC Machinist Set up CNC machines (mills, lathes, Swiss type, multi axis) Load tools, set tool lengths, and adjust offsets Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions Write or edit basic G code programs when needed Select proper tooling, fixtures, and materials Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, CMMs, etc. Troubleshoot machining issues such as chatter, tool wear, or dimensional drift Maintain machines through cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs Document production data and maintain quality standards Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and quality teams If you are a high performer and would like to work for an equally high performing company and you think the above opportunity is appropriate for you, we invite you to submit your resume in Microsoft Word format to abarry@venteon.com We treat all resumes with strict confidentiality.
