- Manual CNC Lathe Machinist - 3rd Shift
Location:
- Warren, MI
Pay:
- Up to $39.00/hour +
- 17% Third-Shift Premium
Shift:
- Sunday-Friday, 11:00 PM-7:00 AM
Sign-On/Retention Bonus:

- Position Overview

- in Warren, MI is seeking an experienced
- Manual CNC Lathe Machinist
- to join its third-shift team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced machinist with a strong background in
- manual lathes and Vertical Turning Lathes (VTLs)
- who can perform complex setups and operate with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have aerospace machining experience and a strong understanding of precision measurement, blueprints, GD&T, and machining processes.
- Key Responsibilities
- + Perform complex setups, edits, and operation of established and new product introduction (NPI) jobs with minimal supervision. + Make machine adjustments and modifications as necessary to ensure parts conform to specifications. + Set up and operate
- manual VTLs and manual lathes
- Qualifications
- + •3-5 years of machining experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
- + •3+ years of experience setting up and operating manual VTLs and manual lathes.
- + Experience with machines such as
- Mazak, Mori-Seiki, and LeBlond
- . + Experience machining
- plasma coatings and K/E seals on rotating aircraft components
- preferred. + Strong mathematical skills and knowledge of
- GD&T
- . + Familiarity with
- Statistical Process Control (SPC)
- . + Ability to read and interpret detailed blueprints and operation sheets. + Strong precision measurement skills. + Willingness to learn basic CNC programming. + Strong communication and problem-solving skills. + Ability to work collaboratively with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams. + Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. + High school diploma or equivalent required.
