• Position Overview

• in Warren, MI is seeking an experienced
• Manual CNC Lathe Machinist
• to join its third-shift team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced machinist with a strong background in
• manual lathes and Vertical Turning Lathes (VTLs)
• who can perform complex setups and operate with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have aerospace machining experience and a strong understanding of precision measurement, blueprints, GD&T, and machining processes.
• Key Responsibilities
• + Perform complex setups, edits, and operation of established and new product introduction (NPI) jobs with minimal supervision. + Make machine adjustments and modifications as necessary to ensure parts conform to specifications. + Set up and operate
• manual VTLs and manual lathes

•. + Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments including micrometers, depth gauges, height gauges, and vernier calipers. + Read and interpret blueprints, operation sheets, and process documentation. + Work closely with Engineering regarding material conditions, part positioning, tool pressure, and other machining requirements. + Identify faulty operations, materials, or other issues and report them to the appropriate supervisor. + Support production schedules and customer delivery requirements. + Provide training to other employees as needed. + Follow all safety requirements, including proper machine guarding and required PPE. + Maintain clean and organized machines and work areas. + Follow company policies, safety procedures, and quality requirements. + Participate in Lean manufacturing, 6S, and continuous improvement initiatives. + Work overtime and flexible hours as needed to meet customer commitments. + Develop basic CNC programming skills as required.

• Qualifications
• + •3-5 years of machining experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
• + •3+ years of experience setting up and operating manual VTLs and manual lathes.
• + Experience with machines such as
• Mazak, Mori-Seiki, and LeBlond
• . + Experience machining
• plasma coatings and K/E seals on rotating aircraft components
• preferred. + Strong mathematical skills and knowledge of
• GD&T
• . + Familiarity with
• Statistical Process Control (SPC)
• . + Ability to read and interpret detailed blueprints and operation sheets. + Strong precision measurement skills. + Willingness to learn basic CNC programming. + Strong communication and problem-solving skills. + Ability to work collaboratively with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams. + Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. + High school diploma or equivalent required.

• $31.
