What's Required to Get on the Floor Technical degree in Machine Tool Technology or related field, or equivalent experience. 1-2+ years of machining experience , including internships or shop work. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings . Experience with basic CNC programming and machine setup . Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail . Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and grow . What You'll Handle:

Set up and operate machine tools including mills, lathes, and drill presses to produce precision components. Read and interpret blueprints, part drawings, and machining instructions to ensure parts meet specifications. Perform basic CNC programming and transfer programs between systems. Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers to verify tolerances and part quality. Complete secondary operations including deburring, stamping, and finishing during machine cycles. Maintain work area organization and cleanliness in accordance with 5S standards. Perform routine machine maintenance and identify potential issues. Adjust setups and tooling to maintain part accuracy and production efficiency . Follow all safety policies and procedures while supporting production deadlines.
