Job Description

At M&M Precision Machining , we specialize in producing high-precision components with an unwavering commitment to quality, integrity, and customer satisfaction. As we continue to grow, we are excited to expand our team and are looking to hire CNC Machinists at multiple skill levels - from developing machinists to highly skilled technical experts and leaders. We currently have openings on 2nd Shift and Weekend Day Shift . Candidates will be placed into the appropriate level based on experience, technical skills, and demonstrated capabilities. Whether you're looking to grow your machining career or bring advanced expertise to a high-performing team, we want to hear from you. What You'll Do Depending on experience level, machinists at M&M Precision Machining may: Load and run production parts while maintaining quality standards Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T Perform CNC machine setups and changeovers Select tooling and determine proper speeds and feeds Write or edit CNC programs and support program optimization Inspect parts using precision measuring equipment Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and quality issues Improve setup processes, cycle times, and tooling performance Support first-article inspections and process validation Design fixtures or workholding solutions Train and mentor operators and developing machinists Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams Senior-level machinists may also: Lead advanced setups and program prove-outs Conduct root cause analysis for machining or quality issues Develop machining standards and best practices Support machine and process improvements Serve as technical mentors and subject matter experts
What We're Looking For Requirements:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required; technical degree, apprenticeship, or CNC machining training preferred. 3+ years of CNC machining experience (Mills, Lathes, Swiss, or Multi-Axis machines). Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, setup sheets, and inspection documentation. Strong troubleshooting ability and mechanical aptitude. Proficiency editing CNC programs. Ability to accurately use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.). Ability to complete machine setups efficiently and accurately. Understanding of tooling selection and machining strategies. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Advanced roles may also include:
CAM programming or G-code editing Multi-axis setup experience Fixture design experience Process validation and capability analysis Mentoring and technical leadership Skills & Qualities Strong mechanical aptitude Attention to detail and quality Commitment to safety and efficiency Ability to troubleshoot machining issues Willingness to learn and continuously improve Strong teamwork and communication skills Physical Requirements Ability to stand and move throughout the shift (8-12 hours) Ability to lift and move materials or tooling up to 50 pounds Frequent bending, reaching, and use of hands for handling tooling and parts Ability to read blueprints and inspect precision parts Work performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, coolants, and oils
Pay, Schedule & Benefits Starting Base Pay:
$26 - $40 per hour (based on experience and skill level)
Shift Differential:
$1.50/hour for 2nd Shift $5.00/hour for Weekend Shift Shifts /
Work Hours:
2nd
Shift Monday-Thursday:
2:45 PM - 1:15
AM Weekend Shift Friday-Sunday:
