Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students' communication development in a dynamic school setting near Elk River, MN. This opportunity is ideal for a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist—whether you hold your CCC or are pursuing your CFY—who thrives when working with diverse student populations. The upcoming assignment runs from August 24, 2026, through June 4, 2027, offering a full-time weekly schedule of 37.5 hours. With a manageable caseload of approximately 55 students, you can make meaningful connections and see real growth.
Preferred skills and experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Minnesota SLP license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date) ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but strong candidates completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) are welcome to apply Experience in school-based or pediatric SLP settings Skill with adolescent populations; comfort working with middle and high school-aged students is highly desired Strong collaboration skills for partnering with teachers, families, and school staff Flexibility to adapt to a range of student abilities and needs Key responsibilities: Assess, diagnose, and provide therapeutic interventions for students with communication disorders Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Track student progress and document outcomes as required Consult with educational staff to support student success in the classroom Communicate with parents and caregivers about progress and strategies for reinforcement Foster an inclusive, encouraging learning environment Immerse yourself in a supportive school culture while making a significant impact on students' academic and social journeys.
