Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Motor Grater Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will operate motorized graters to shape, smooth, and finish metal or other materials with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure high-quality production standards are met while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Duties Operate motorized graters and related machinery to accurately shape and finish materials according to technical specifications Set up and calibrate equipment using blueprint reading, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and CNC programming knowledge Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and adjustments on grinding equipment to ensure optimal performance Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and dial gauges to verify dimensions and quality standards Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper use of hand tools, PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and materials handling procedures Assist with fabrication, assembly line tasks, and materials preparation as needed to support production flow Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, quality checks, and machine maintenance logs Requirements Proven experience operating motor graters or similar grinding machinery within a manufacturing or factory environment Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T, CNC programming, CAM programming, and CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD Mechanical knowledge of machining processes including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, press brake machines, and welding techniques Familiarity with Fanuc controls and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for machine operation and automation control Ability to use precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, micrometers, and other quality control tools accurately Experience with materials handling equipment such as forklifts is preferred but not mandatory Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tolerances and specifications Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control in a manufacturing setting Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Join us if you're passionate about precision machining and eager to contribute your technical skills in a thriving manufacturing facility.
