Job Description

  • Job Title: Manufacturing Associate
  • Job Description
  • This role involves setting up and maintaining multiple CNC machines in a climate-controlled automotive manufacturing environment. The manufacturing associate performs precise quality inspections using measuring tools and conducts frequent tool changes to ensure consistent production quality and efficiency across assigned shifts.
  • Responsibilities
  • + Set up multiple CNC machines according to production requirements and established procedures.

+ Maintain CNC machines by monitoring performance, identifying issues, and making necessary adjustments to ensure smooth operation.

+ Perform frequent tool changes on machines multiple times per shift to support continuous production.

+ Use micrometers, calipers, and gauges to perform detailed quality inspections of parts and components.

+ Verify that all produced parts meet required specifications and tolerances before approval.

+ Document inspection results and communicate any quality or equipment concerns to the appropriate team members.

+ Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while operating equipment and handling tools.

+ Work consistently on the assigned shift and be available for substantial overtime, including working most days of the week.

+ Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance machine setup, efficiency, and quality.

+ Collaborate with team members and leadership to meet production goals and maintain a high standard of workmanship.

  • Work Environment
  • The position is based in a climate-controlled automotive manufacturing facility designed to support comfort and consistency throughout long shifts.

Team members work on either A shift (6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.) or B shift (6:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.), with frequent overtime available and the expectation of working many days of the week. The environment involves working around CNC machines and other production equipment, using precision tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Employees follow standard manufacturing safety practices and wear appropriate attire and personal protective equipment suitable for an automotive production setting

  • This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Durham, NC.
  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $18.

00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
