In this role, you will operate, set up, and maintain CNC machines to produce precision metal components. Your expertise in CNC programming, machine setup, and quality inspection will ensure that parts meet strict specifications and quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining tools and contribute to high-quality manufacturing processes in a dynamic environment. Duties Operate CNC machines such as lathes, mills, and grinders, ensuring efficient production runs. Set up CNC equipment by installing tooling, calibrating machines, and preparing programs for production. Write, modify, and troubleshoot CNC programs using G-code, M-code, and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software. Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements. Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other measurement tools to verify part dimensions. Perform machine maintenance and adjustments to ensure optimal performance and safety. Inspect finished parts for quality compliance using GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards and quality control procedures. Utilize CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD for design review or tooling modifications when necessary. Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, inspection reports, and machine logs. Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements and troubleshooting machining issues. Experience Proven experience operating CNC machinery including lathes, mills, or grinders in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code; experience with Fanuc controls is preferred. Familiarity with CAD/CAM software like SolidWorks, CAD programs, or CAM programming tools. Ability to read mechanical blueprints and interpret geometric tolerances (GD&T). Mechanical aptitude with understanding of machining tools, tooling setup, and manual machining techniques. Experience with electrical discharge machining (EDM) is a plus but not required. Skilled in using precision measurement instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines for quality inspection. Basic math skills for calculations related to measurements and machine settings. Knowledge of manufacturing safety standards and proper use of hand tools and power tools.
