Qualifying Questions:

Summary:
Develop process flows to produce precision machined parts. Create NC programs for multi-axis lathes, 3- and 5-axis CNC machining centers, waterjet tables, and other equipment. Design and fabricate workholding fixtures to secure materials during machining. Select and request cutting tools to optimize part production. Set up and operate equipment, tooling, and fixtures for milling, turning, and other machining operations. Prepare raw materials using band saws, waterjet, and related equipment. Inspect parts with precision metrology tools and prepare reports for quality review. Edit programs and adjust speeds/feeds for optimized production. Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve issues. Maintain equipment and perform preventive maintenance. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and maintain safety compliance. Enhance job knowledge through classes, technical publications, and cross-training.
Requirements:
High School diploma or GED required Formal Journeyman, Apprentice training, or machining schooling preferred 5+ years machining experience, aerospace experience preferred Experience with manual and CNC multi-axis lathes, 3 5 axis mills (Hurco) Familiarity with FDM 3D printers, software, and materials Proficient in fixture/tool design (holding fixtures, form blocks, joggle dies, drill templates) Ability to work independently in a fast-paced R D environment Skilled at reading and interpreting drawings, blueprints, and technical instructions Maintain a safe, organized workspace with proper PPE Experience with CAD/CAM software (GibbsCAM preferred) Familiarity with model-based machining, CATIA, 3D printing, Insight software, GrabCAD Print, and OMAX waterjet software Knowledge of FAA certification processes and AS9100 compliance preferred Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
