Job Description
Job Overview Needed - skilled CNC Machinist - 1st shift position, 4 days a week. You will operate, set up, and program CNC machines to produce precision metal components that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise in machining processes, blueprint interpretation, and machine programming will be essential in delivering high-quality parts efficiently. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC machining equipment, including CNC lathes and milling machines, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Program CNC machines to produce complex parts with precision. Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately to determine machining requirements. Perform machine calibration, tool changes, and adjustments to maintain tight tolerances and high-quality output. Troubleshoot machining issues related to tooling, programming errors, or machine malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime. Maintain detailed documentation of setups, inspections, and production logs in compliance with quality standards. Skills Proven experience as a Machinist with knowledge of CNC programming, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes Knowledge of CNC machine setup procedures including fixture installation and tooling alignment. Experience with CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software for toolpath generation and machine programming. Skilled in blueprint reading and mechanical blueprint interpretation to ensure accurate manufacturing processes. Familiarity with machining tools such as grinders, hand tools, power tools, and tooling setups. Mechanical knowledge related to metal machining processes like milling, turning on CNC lathes, grinding, and electrical discharge machining (EDM). Ability to perform precision measurement using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Basic math skills for calculations related to measurements and tolerances; experience with measurement instruments is essential.
